Everday is the last great sanctuary of the Fey in southern Therasya, a realm of endless sun, living craft, enchanted forests, and cities grown among ironwood and sunsteel. Its people descend from the ancient Feyan Empire that once stretched across the whole continent before Cord’s shattering, the darkness, and the long migrations that drove the survivors south. To outsiders it appears gentle, bright, artistic, and almost impossibly peaceful, yet this peace is not naivety. It is the result of old magic, guarded borders, disciplined archers, and memory that has not faded across the spires.
The empire is ruled from Caladyr, the proud southern capital. Around it stand Limnyr, Aldayr, Vespera, Rodhrim, IN’ylmar and Estellion the sacred cities. The Fey cherish life, beauty, music, poetry, living architecture, and the light of Zoodotis, but they are also a people shaped by catastrophe. They remember the fall of the Feyan Empire, the corruption of their lost kin, the Nightfall, the War of Life, and the false prophecy that later drew them into the disastrous North Ride.
History & Founding
The Fey were born from the union of Zoodotis and Thera in the mythic age, a race of light, grace, and frailty sustained by the purity of their divine origin. In their first greatness they inherited the broken remnants of the Drakil age and transformed them into a continent-spanning Feyan Empire. Angels brought them knowledge, helped them decipher the Dragon Grimoires, and taught them arts that would later become the foundation of their sorcery.
That first empire was destroyed when Entropy’s spawn shattered Cord and divine ruin fell across the world. Many Fey fled south, some passed into Evernight and became Pale Fey, while others were trapped in northern darkness and twisted by demonic corruption. The surviving southern Fey gathered in 1956 BS and founded Caladyr, preserving their artifacts, memories, and civilization. From that act Everday became the successor realm of the old Feyan Empire.
Government & Succession
Everday is governed by the Council of Five: the Emperor, the Archpriest of Zoodotis, the Magistrate of Sorcery, the Voice, and the Eyes. The title of Emperor is ancient and largely ceremonial, preserved from the age when Feyan cities stood across Therasya. In practice the Emperor chairs the council when agreement fails, and Erin has held this cycle-title through the last spire.
The Voice is elected from the people every hundred years and is responsible for needed reforms, though change in Everday is famously slow. The Eyes are usually four to six exalted adventurers or retired heroes recognized for valor in the northern kingdoms. They serve as diplomats, bear news to the council, and maintain contact with the Alliance. Succession therefore depends less on bloodline than on unanimous recognition, sacred office, public trust, and the long patience of Feyan tradition.
Society & Culture
Fey are slightly shorter than humans, slender, graceful, and marked by pointed ears, keen hearing, direct long sight, and an inability to endure true darkness. They do not depend on ordinary sleep or food as mortals do, but enter sunlit trance and draw sustenance from light. Nectar, fruit, and natural delicacies are used in festivals or when outsiders are welcomed. Their lives can stretch for centuries or even millennia, and in such a society memory becomes a force of its own.
Everday society venerates life and avoids needless harm. Stone and lifeless matter are disliked in art and architecture, while ironwood, enchanted crystal, living trees, flowers, rivers, and light-driven craft define the visible realm. Their songs, poems, flowing paintings, and enchanted colors are famed across Therasya. Yet beneath their elegance lies caution. The Fey live secluded behind the Oneiric forests, fortified cities, and ancient enchantments because they know better than most what happens when darkness finds a road into paradise.

Faith
Zoodotis is cherished above all Eternals, for the Fay understand sun not merely as warmth or sight, but as life itself. The Grand Temple of Light in Caladyr is one of the wonders of the world, a beacon raised against Therril and toward the depths of Void. Sunpriests serve in every community as teachers, healers, protectors, and battle clerics trained in both scripture and sword.
Thera holds the second place in Feyan devotion. Her clerics often avoid temples and possessions, preaching instead in fields, orchards, and living places. The Fey acknowledge all Eternals as ideas within the Pool of Essence, but the old temples of Astarte and Maat lie ruined and deserted, remembered as powers that offered no salvation during the days of Scorch. This abandonment remains one of the quiet wounds in Feyan religious history.
Military
Everday maintains a relative small standing army when measured against its population, but its detachments are highly trained and terrifyingly precise. Feyan longbow battalions are notorious throughout Therasya, rivaled only by the finest Dymarthian archers. Their bows are lighter than human warbows, but reach farther and strike vulnerable points with deadly accuracy. Heavy weapons are rare. The preferred melee style uses light shields, straight blades, Feyan chain, and sunsteel to deflect, redirect, and counterstrike rather than absorb blows through brute strength.
Their armies rely on mobility, sound commands, flags, sorcery, and divine empowerment. Fey detest bloodshed and often seek to disable opponents through exact thrusts rather than slaughter them. Still, their archers remain stationed in strength at Cord’s Arm and in Starfall, and their Sunpriests once scorched undeath as far as the reaches of Cord’s Arm during the War of Life. Everday survives because its peace is defended by disciplined hands.

Economy & Trade
Everday’s wealth comes from safety, longevity, fertile lands, living craft, grain, spirits, medicines, enchanted trinkets, and artistic works refined over centuries. The Fey avoid mining within their own lands, preferring methods that leave Thera unscarred. Their contact with Sin-Ba created a rare blend of druidic naturalism, science, magic, and living engineering, allowing them to build cities embedded in forests without destroying the land that supports them.
After the retreat of darkness and the opening of trade routes to Avaton and Lydoria, Everday adopted a formal coinage influenced by the Andorian exchange ministries: imperial gold, alchemical silver, and peasant bronze. Coinage from other realms is accepted according to its precious metal content, and council-controlled institutions in major cities provide fair exchange. Caladyr’s liquid library, where mystics share knowledge through a flowing crystal pool, remains one of the realm’s greatest treasures.
Foreign Relations
Everday stands with the Alliance against Entropy, and Feyan archers have long served upon Thergen battlements in the north. Its strongest historical bonds are with the Thergen Empire, Sin-Ba, Starfall, Cloudkeep, Lakedawn, and the defenders of Cord’s Arm. Sin-Ba renewed Feyan strength through druidic knowledge, while Starfall continues to receive Feyan settlers and reinforcements along its dangerous swamp boundaries.
Its enemies are older than most human kingdoms: Othmog, Helkor, demonic hosts, Salizar’s legacy, the corrupted and twisted Dark Fey. Relations with Avaton, Lydoria, and Andor are more complicated. Trade exists, and peace is valuable, but the memory of the North Ride remains bitter, when Lucifer took the shape of the lost Feyan emperor Erin and deceived Everday into war against neighboring realms.
