The Eternals are not distant gods whose strength relies solely upon belief. They are living archetypes woven into the fabric of creation itself.

They exist over and beyond followers. Throughout history, they have been incarnated, walked among mortals, founded kingdoms, led armies, taught disciples, and left physical marks upon the world that remain visible to this day. Their temples serve not merely as places of worship but as beacons of their presence. Priests channel genuine divine power through devotion to an Eternal’s path, while miracles, prophecies, and manifestations are accepted facts rather than matters of speculation.

“We do not light the temples so the Eternals may find us. We light them so we do not forget they are already here.”

Many Paths of Devotion

Most people do not dedicate themselves exclusively to a single Eternal. A farmer may pray to Astarte for fertile fields, ask Ydor for favorable rains, seek Pyria’s strength during hardship, and invoke Halshire before a battle. Different kingdoms emphasize different faiths according to their history and culture. Heraldon reveres Sermon and the Archangels above all others, Avaton honors Halshire, Aloria, and the virtues of heroic sacrifice, while Kinetika maintains strong traditions devoted to Ydor, Lahesis, and the Great Planner. The Fey continue to venerate Zoodotis, Astarte, and Maat, while the peoples of Lakedawn hold Lahesis as their foremost guide through the cycles of fate and rebirth.

Holy Sites of Therasya

Across Therasya, great holy sites remind mortals of the Eternals’ presence. The shining temples of Everdawn in the Feyan lands honor Zoodotis beneath eternal sunlight. The Oracle of Astaroth rises high within Theras’ Spine, where kings and prophets journey seeking omens. Cloudkeep, suspended above the world, serves as the celestial seat of Sermon, Gregorian, and Thearetos. The sacred rivers of Ydor attract pilgrims from every kingdom, while the ancient pyramids of the Fey preserve memories of Astarte, Maat, and the lost glory of their empire. Even darker faiths maintain their shrines: Mortigian is revered among the Fallen of the Atoles, while the distant lands of Avernia and Othmog pay homage to powers that most southern kingdoms regard with fear.

The Heart of the Faith

At its heart, Eternal Faith teaches that existence is a struggle between creation and oblivion, order and chaos. Yet unlike simple tales of good and evil, the Eternals represent countless paths through which mortals may shape their destiny. Truth, Hope, Life, Justice, Progress, War, Love, Fate, Growth, and countless other virtues and flaws all possess their champions among the divine. Through prayer, devotion, and action, every soul chooses which paths to follow. In this way, faith is not merely worship but chiseling one’s soul in the endless Spiral path towards uniting with Harmony.

“Kneel before any Eternal you choose; the devotion still reaches the same living flame.”
