Sermon
Among the angelic host, no names are spoken with greater reverence than Sermon, Gregorian, and Thearetos, three of the Archangel Brothers.
They stand as the supreme champions of Harmony, and have opposed the forces of Entropy since the earliest Spires. Of the three, Sermon is the eldest.
Nature & Domain
Sermon, the First Angel, embodies Preservation and Hope, not the bright, fragile hope of a single life, but the deep, patient resolve that creation itself shall endure. Where others fight to win, Sermon fights so that something remains to be won.
The Archangel Brothers
Sermon stands with his brothers Gregorian and Thearetos as the foremost defenders of order. Together they have held the line against Entropy across age after age, the steady spine of the angelic host.
The Battle of the Pool
Their victory against Asmodeus during the Battle of the Pool remains one of the defining events in celestial history, preserving creation from obliteration, and shaping the destiny of angels, devils, and mortals alike. Had that battle gone otherwise, there would be no world to record it.
Cloudkeep & the Watch
Sermon rules from Cloudkeep, guiding the celestial forces and protecting the Pool itself from corruption. It is a quiet office, mostly, and the work of a guardian is measured in the disasters that never come.
“Hold the line. Not for victory, victory is not ours to keep, but so that those who come after us may have a line to hold.”
